Loukia Apostolidis was born in Athens in 1984. She is a graduate of the Department of Philosophy, Pedagogy and Psychology of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Psychology major). She obtained a Master’s Degree in Psychology from Middlesex University in London and then a Postgraduate Diploma (MSc) in Health Psychology from London Metropolitan University. She also holds a Postgraduate Diploma (PGCErt) in Psychology and Addiction Counselling from London Southbank University.
She completed the first cycle of her training in Systemic Family Psychotherapy at the Tavistock and Portman Clinic in London and is continuing her second cycle at the Institute of Mental Health Research of Aiginiteio Hospital in collaboration with the University of Athens. At the same time, she completed her training in Dramatherapy at the AION Institute.
She worked in London at the Wimbledon Guild, which is a mental health service, in the Family Therapy department where she collaborated with family therapists and worked with families and couples. At the same time, she worked in a public school in North London as a counselor for children and as a member of Place2Be, an organization that is the leading provider of mental health support for children in schools in the United Kingdom. Another area she worked in is addictions and she worked in a detoxification and reintegration center in Luton, England using the 12 steps of Alcoholics, the Cognitive-Behavioral approach and Gestalt therapy techniques in groups.
Today she works privately as a psychologist and is a co-founder and associate of the Center for Systemic Psychotherapy and Research. In 2024 she founded EUTOPIA, a branch of KESYPSE. She has been a long-time external collaborator of the Medical Center at the PEDOENDO clinic, specializing in child endocrinology as a health psychologist and family therapist. She is also an external collaborator of the Theocharakis Foundation, where she has been creating experiential seminars for children and adults for many years.
She is a member of the British Psychological Society. She holds a license to practice as a psychologist.
